17/08/10 : My first day involved getting 4 hours sleep and getting up at 2.30am Nz time, i flew out at 6.30am Nz time and arrived in Brisbane at 10.30am NZ time. now 8.30am Au time. Alana and i carried my 2x 25kg suitcases and 7kg hand luggage on to the train and then onto the bus to my new home in Herston, about 30 mins from the aiport :) after an hour or so we went back down the hill to the bus station (to which i have become extrememly familiar) and headed into brisbane city, only about 10-15 mins away! i got my bank account sorted, a new sim card, a 'go' card for the buses, duvet, pillows and food for dinner... we got home about 5 or 6pm Au time so 7 or 8pm Nz time.. exhausted!! after hanging with the flatties and dinner i was in bed by 8pm Au time
(10pm Nz time).. LONG day!
18/08/10 : Wednesday i went into town on the bus by myself without getting lost (woohoo!) and met Alana and Kelly for lunch, did a few things in the city and then headed home to unpack...
Kel and Alana brought wine home which ended in a night out in West End at 'Uber' .. met lots of kiwis!
19/08/10 : Thursday me and Kel got up late and went into town, bought internet and went on the Citycat down the Brisbane river. b-e-a-utiful! amazing day-28 degrees!!
20/08/10 : Friday i stayed at home until Alana finished work, then went to the city to meet her for drinks at Cicada (they say sick-ah-da instead of sick-ay-da..weird!) bar with her workmates then we went to Bec's place for drinks and headed to the Valley around 10.30pm.
we went to X&Y bar, Birdies, The Bank, Cloudland (ridiculous bar worth millions of dollars) and got home around 4am and decided to ring matty but it was 6am Nz time!ooops :p
21/08/10 : slept in, went to town to sort out bond and rent, back home and straight back into bed!sleeeepy:) don't think i'll go out tonight!
